ANZAC Day is one of the most significant days on the Australian calendar and two Wagga football Clubs, Wagga Wagga Kangaroos and Wagga Tigers have joined forces with the RSL Sub Branch Wagga Wagga to celebrate this important day through the “The Commemorative Games”.
This unique Australian event will feature two football games and two separate codes and is determined to establish a legacy that will last for many decades.
During this day we will not only remember the ANZACs who served at Gallipoli and the Western Front, but all Australian servicemen and women, including those who fought along the Kokoda Track and at Tobruk; those who were held prisoners of war; those who fought on the seas and in the skies; and those who served from Korea and Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan.
